Where has this year gone? The year so far in pictures. Picture Heavy post..

Honestly this year has gone so quickly that I don't know where to start. After the success of the events in Liberty last week and the equaled success of my real 'day job', it seems a natural progression that the blog includes more of my day-to-day activities alongside the usual rants reviews and industry natterings. As I work in the industry, I figured it should still be of interest one way or another...!

Major shoe envy on the tube.

Aerin Kabuki brush. Loveliness.

  1. getting bored of waiting for you to adopt me now Caroline... xx

  2. Are these good serums for the winter time during the day? (oily/combo)
    - Pai Roseship BioRegenerate Oil
    - Wild About Beauty Rose Water Illuminating Serum
    - Antipodes Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum

    1. I think the Pai would be a little heavy for your skin. The other two are hydrating so should be lighter.

  3. Can't wait for those cleanser reviews

  4. camelia? looks like a gardenia. Did it have a perfume to die for? if so, it wasnt a camelia!

    1. I'm clearly a div. It's been a long week. ;)

  5. Terribly excited for the cleanser reviews! I've been waiting for a review on the Monu cleanser.

  6. Just started p50w and my skin looks oilier from first use.. Im 27 with underskin acne and sebum cloggs visible to the eye but never surface/cheek redness.. Persist with p50w or move to p50/p50v? honestly feel like taking a needle to the sebum and extracting them myself, grrr x

    1. persist for at least a week and let me know. What are you using after it?

  7. Not sure how I missed the Instagram of you & your Mum but OMG she is stunning!!! Proof right there that looking after your skin now pays off later *runs off to bathroom to slather on ALL the skincare* x

  8. Your mom is gorgeous! Obviously she practices what she preaches and so does her daughter.

    Ali x

    1. Thanks I'll let her know - she'll be thrilled. :)

  9. we want to be you x

  10. Can't wait for your review on the balm cleansers! :)

  11. If you haven't found out already, the shoes in the tube shoe envy picture are from H&M and I think they are on sale in store at the moment.

  12. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

  13. Looking forward to the cleanser reviews, especially the Monu and Alpha H ones.

  14. Your Mum???! I literally did a double take and then an open mouthed "No, really?" in response to that. You have some mighty find genes Mrs H and it shows!

  15. I know it's rude to go guessing a lady's age (does quick mental arithmetic apologies!) blimey your mum looks a-mazing! What great genes you've all got.

  16. FOOKING HELL....... your mum looks like your sister! Post on your mums fave skincare products please? :D

  17. gosh your mom is like a model... what products are she using? i would loooove to know her routine!

  18. is that normal to us pepta-bright, hydraluronic acid, serum AND moisturizer? if so in that order.. and do u recommend only for really dry skin?

  19. After reading many of your posts I have come to the realisation (hope) that you and I are quite similar. The things you choose, I love. As soon as you do another workshop, and it's not term time, I will book and bounce with excitement until I get my consultation.

    Because I'm cool.

You are awesome. New favourite blog.

  20. Ha! I just came here to post a comment about your family photos and saw that a lot of other people were thinking the very same thing - you ladies have some great genes going on; your mother looks young enough to be your sister and you can see your grandmother's striking good looks in that old photo of her with (I think) your mum as a little girl. I know that I saw another photo of your mum working as a skincare advisor I think, behind a counter (with an awesome beehive) which must have been taken in the seventies at the latest, which by my calculations means that your mother...just looks fantastic! I hope I get my own mother's genetic predisposition for not looking my age as I approach 40. If not I'll just have to chalk it up to her picking a terrible specimen to be my father, who will be entirely responsible not just for my aging, but the fact that I only grew to 5ft at the age of 11 and stayed that short ever since. Argh!

Am absolutely loving this binge-read of all your archived posts BTW. You've already made me go out and buy Pixi Glow Toner, Pixi Rose Oil Blend, Pixi Glow Peel Pads and a hyaluronic acid serum. Because you don't only write with a candid and honest approach, but so many of the people who comment on your blog, thank you for the good advice & product recommendations; I feel like you're a lady I should be paying attention to.

Anyway thanks for bankrupting me this month. It's not like I need to eat anything but Mini Cheddars dunked in Dairylea until my next paycheque! Lol.

    Take care
