Essence of Beauty Citrus Coconut

Oh you lucky, lucky dwellers of the US of A. This one is for you.

What is it?
One of the best smelling, cheap-as-chips, actually-works-brilliantly body lotions out there.

What's in it?
Water, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Passiflora Incarnata Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dimethicone, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyl Dimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Aminomethyl Propanol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylpropanediol.

What's not in it?
mineral oil

Tested on animals/sells in China/organic?
Don't know/doubtful/no

Who is it for?
All body skin types.

What's good/not so good about it?
I bloody love this moisturiser. I picked it up in an Ulta last year when I was in the States and luckily I bought more than one. It's a body moisturiser - it's not going to set the world alight, but it feels amazing, absorbs brilliantly and smells UH-MA-ZING. As you will no doubt know if you watch my YT vids, I am all about the smell, and this is just summer in a bottle for me. It's a great lotion, it smells great, that's about it. If you have an Ulta near you, go smell it on my behalf please.....

Essence of Beauty Citrus Coconut is $5.99 and available at Ulta and the usual suspects...

  1. No mineral oil?? I'm amazed!! more than half of the body lotions I've encountered here in the States has mineral oil...even hair conditioners have it!!! I'll look it up because I'm low on my current lotion! Thanks for the tip!

  2. thanks for the suggestion , will check it out, and also picked up products from indeed labs after reading your blog and i am loving them, they are now available at ULTA.

i am 28, and i want you to suggest me products for my skincare routine, i have mostly dry to normal skin. touch wood i usually don't get pimples that often , very rarely i get one or two, my skin is good, but i have some uneven tone, if you can suggest me some of the produts so i can start taking care of my skin before i hit 30.

  3. Ilya is the bane of my saving account. Those $3.50 off $10 coupons just got me, woman!

  4. Hmm, don't see it on Ulta's website. Odd.

    1. I just went to Ulta, couldn't find it in store either. CVS might be a better place to check.

    2. I couldn't find it at Ulta either. But, our local CVS has it.

    3. CVS usually has it in stock and right now, if you have your rewards card, they have a $5 off of $15 coupon on there! So you could stock up!

  5. I know this isn't related to this post but I'd like to try out SR skincare and I'm between Good Genes or Artemis. I have dry, sometimes flaky patches, sometimes dehydrated, and regular acne prone skin. Please suggest which one would be best.

  6. Laura, personally I would try GG first!! I have Artemis, Juno & GG and GG IN MY OPINION is the most financially responsible product to purchase! It's great for most skin types I feel. I have sensitive acne prone skin that is often dehydrated and GG is hydrating, plumping & healing.

  7. Utterly unrelated but: Sunday Riley Good Genes and Estee Lauder ANR together: yay/nay/in which order?
    Thank you!!!!!!!!

  8. No mineral oil?! And coconut is like one of my favourite ever smells, think I need to get this!

Anyone like to follow eachother? Happy to see you all in my blog! :)

  9. Essence and her big sister Catrice are brands of COSNOVA BEAUTY, They don't test on animals and don't sell in China. And they have very nice make-up items too.

  10. Out of interest, why is 'sells in China' a review point? Think I'm missing something obvious here..... :(

  11. Regarding selling in China, it's my understanding that cosmetic products sold in China must first be animal tested.
