NUDE ProGenius Omega Treatment Milk

What is it?
Not that you'd know it from the name, but this is a serum dedicated to improving hydration and nourishment quickly.

Who is it for?
Anyone, but brilliant for sensitive and dehydrated skins.

What’s in it?
Water (Aqua), Isoamyl Laurate, Glycerin, Squalene, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Salvia Hispanica (Chia) Seed Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Punica Granatum Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Avena Strigosa Seed Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract , Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed (Safflower) Oil, Bisabolol, Tocopherol, Sclerotium Gum, Lecithin, Lysolecithin, Xanthan Gum, Pullulan, Diglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, P-Anisic Acid, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Phytic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Citral, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate

Possibly acne/allergy/troubling for some ingredients?
Benzyl Salicylate

Natural? Organic? Man made? Vegan?
Natural ish.

Tested on animals/sold in China?

What's not in it?

How do you use it?
Onto fingers, then onto face, in the serum stage of your routine.

What’s good about it?
This is a lovely product, good for those of you with various sensitivities including redness and rosacea. It is loaded with 10 plant oils, rich in 5 omega oils. Some of the more 'chemical-laden' brands would cast doubt on the effect of topical omegas, but personally, I've seen results and am a plant oil advocate through and through. This is a lovely product. I would use it more for soothing and plumping than anti-ageing, but of course stopping dehydration in its tracks is technically anti-ageing so if you are in your late 20's/early 30's and have no other concerns, this could be perfect for you.

What’s not so good about it?
Well, the name. I would immediately dismiss this as a moisturising lotion if I saw it on the shelf. I have no doubt this has hindered the popularity of this product, people may simply not be using it thinking it's a moisturiser for combination skins.

  1. Great review! Would this go over a retinol serum at night/ over a vit c serum in the morning? Many thanks Caroline x

  2. I put this on naked skin Caroline. Starkers.

  3. I have the moat sensitive of sensitive skin - this has both alcohol and fragrance. I've read your do'and dont's for sensitive skin...I'm at a loss. Is there any moisturizer you can direct me to?!

  4. I have the most sensitive of sensitive skin...I've been using hydrocortisone (with aloe, which is working wonders) until I can try something new. The above product has both alcohol and fragrance which it seems i should avoid; is there any moisturizer you can direct me to? I do have a Paula's Choice coming my way at present...

    1. I have sensitive skin and was using steroid creams but this has been a life saver! Totally calmed my skin and hydrated it. But I also use a moisturiser on top.

  5. I use the other version of this, think it's just called treatment oil instead of treatment milk. I have tried both and personally prefer the oil, it's lovely. Big fan of Nude skincare from what I've tried so far.

  6. Are you still doing the Skype consultation giveaway? Have you chosen April's winner? x

  7. Now seeing the description it sounds perfect for my skin. I never gave it much thought before as I see "milk" and assume cleansing milk!

  8. I thought that squalene is highly acnegenic/comedogenic. It gets really confusing and a real pain in the *!! trying to find what could possible break you out. I know that everyone reacts differently but maybe a cheat sheet with some common acnegenic/comedogenic ingredients would be most welcome. Thumbs up for he excellent work on your site-it's an invaluable resource of info.

  9. I LOVE THIS :D I have horribly dehydrated skin and this really has helped :) Agree - the name is pants, it really confused me and I was using it as a moisturiser on top of another serum for ages - until I eventually realised what it was through another blog post!

  10. Hi Caroline
Having never had a skin care routine until very recently (new year) and already in my mid 30s, I am now obsessed with your blog and recommendations. I wondered, could you give some guidance on the timings within a routine. For example, after a cleanse, should you immediately apply your toner(s), followed by the serum then moisturiser or should we wait a few minutes before each application?

Also, I was told you shouldn't 'rub' the serum in your face but rather pat it in and having seen various ways on the web of how to apply it, I'm even more confused. (One lady even rubbed it in her hands first-what a waste!!) what would you recommend-a quick video demo would be even better if you haven't already done so!! Many thanks ;))

  12. What is the difference between this one and nude progenius omega oil?? Which one would you recommend for combination acneic skin?

  13. Would this be good for someone who has oily/combination but also has dehydrated and acne/blemish prone skin?
