We're on hols.

Mr Hirons has a big birthday on Monday. To celebrate we're off to Paris (sans les enfants!!) for a long weekend. To say I'm looking forward to walking around the Louvre PHARMACY SHOPPING is an understatement.

    Keep in mind the strike! And go to a parapharmacie, it's cheaper and usually they have more products than a regular pharmacie as they are dedicated to skin care and everything that is not medicines. And related to a previous post of yours, they put the ingredient lists on the website of Laroche-Posay, Avène and Bioderma!

    Happy Birthday!Love your blog since its discovery via Pixiwoo.Have started new skincare routine, if I could ask...my skin ALWAYS breaks out in sun, could it be the SPF I'm using or do I just need to avoid sun, also waxing also break me out esp above lip area have tried threading, same thing, any advice??At your own convenience, enjoy paris,pharmacy shopping sounds wonderful!x

    My husband has just spent the best part of 2 days ransporting my Parisian pharmacy treasures home to Belfast. Who knew all those bottles get so heavy when you buy 5 at a time!! BUT the most exciting bit....I bought P50 from the ACTUAL Biologique Recherche...hopefully the lady at the front desk who sold it didn't think I was a total lunatic as I was so excited to be there!

    God I love spending an hour in the parapharmacie; I'm only interested in the stuff you can't get in the UK though! Last year I bought those Coup d'eclat radiance ampoules and Diabolique Tomato red moisturing cream and Avibon vitamin A cream which is brilliant. My family know to leave me in there for a bit and make themselves scarce while I start trawling

    my question to you please Lady Hirons :) Why is it that people preach about those that have oily skin should use oil cleansers etc rather than SLS loaded ones as their skin interprets it that if its oil based, the skin will absorb that oil and produce less of its own leading to less oily complexion. yet, when somebody with skin that i think doesnt know how to produce its own oils (perpetually dry skin) if i dont use a face oil/treatment/moisturisers and try trick my skin into being forced to produce its own oils....i end up with skin that is dry beyond the Sahara desert and in such bad condition my face actually hurts! why doesnt it work both ways!
