Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Magnets

I have some quick flashes of proper makeup porn coming for you this week. First out of the gate is Armani and the Lip Magnet Collection.

I thought it was a twist on the packaging - which is, as always, the best in the business. Sorry everyone else, but it is. Alas no, Lip Magnets are the new matte liquid lipsticks that bind with the lips like a magnet. Ahhh. Got it.

The new lip lusciousness is inspired by two of Giorgio Armani Beauty’s most iconic products: the ultra-thin film of Maestro Fusion Makeup and the intensity of Lip Maestro velvet lip colour. These are extremely finely textured and pretty much weightless. They're non-sticky and feel like you're wearing nothing. Available in 18 shades, they're pretty close to the perfect 'matte', non-drying, colour.

They last up to 8 hours, but are four times thinner than a liquid lip colour. FOUR times thinner. You apply one coat, wait for it to evaporate and intensify, and then reapply if necessary to seal the deal.

Splendiferous.

Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Magnets are £27.00 and available here: Selfridges/Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets and via Armani online here: www.armanibeauty.co.uk/lip-magnet

Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass

I've seen a couple of these around but they are out of stock already on the Urban Decay website. If you haven't seen the Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow palette and lipsticks yet, maybe run, don't walk, to the nearest counter.

The palette is £43.00 and contains 20 brand new shades, the lipsticks are £16.00 and the Iracebeth is easily the most wearable.

Currently sold out on the UD website www.urbandecay.co.uk/alice-in-wonderland-collection but Debenhams are showing as having stock: www.debenhams.com

Clarins Joli Rouge aka Lipstick Nirvana

Some lipstick porn for my fellow addicts, this time from Clarins. The revamped Joli Rouge range has 25 colours and is available from September.

They smell like red berries, come in every colour under the sun and have a six hour life on the lips.

PHWOARR.

Available here in September: www.clarins.co.uk/PHWOARRR

Pixi Mattelustre Lipsticks

Forgive the second Pixi post in a week, but I had to get these on here. For the first time in their 15 year history, Pixi have turned their hand to matte lipticks and they are glorious.

The colours are deep, highly pigmented, softening and lush and range from Honey Bare to Plum Berry.

Courtesy @pixibeauty Instagram

My favourites are obviously the Coral Red, Pure Fuschia and Classic Red.

They contain peptides, vitamins C & E and hyaluronic acid to help plump up the lips but the best part is that they are only £14.00. Available here.

*I have a working relationship with Pixi but that excludes all blog content. Except when I blackmail them and make them do a great giveaway for my readers. ;)

Lancome Shine Lover Lipsticks

Time for some more gorgeous lip colours - this time from Lancome. The new Shine Lover range contain not only gorgeously strong pigment, but are loaded with hyaluronic acid and rosehip oil, to both nourish and hydrate while giving either a quick pop of colour, or a lip with full-on coverage.

I nabbed the above 3 - left to right - 136 Amuse Bouche, 357 Fuchsia in Paris and 323 Effortless Pink. The colours are literally this vibrant - as always there are no filters in play here.
If you are slightly older and shy away from using brighter colours, these will be right up your alley - the oil content makes for a very comfortable wear that doesn't bleed all over your face.

Lancome Shine Lover Lipsticks are on counter in May and are a very reasonable £21.00.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil

Cheeky Clarins. This review was originally going to be in time for the launch in February - but this was released across Clarins counters and online on Sunday and is already sold out nationwide.

I can see why.

The Instant Light range was always going to be expanded on, such was its success (clearly!). I've used the original perfectors since they came out.

Between the weather and travelling for work, this gem of a lip product saved my lips last week. It's comforting, soothing, shiny without being sticky and has my most-favourite lip applicator ever. I kid you not. It's the most comfortable use of a product ever.

It contains:
- Polyglyceryl-2 ISO-Sterate/Dimer Dilinoleate COP-Lymer
- Dilinoleic Acid/Propanediol Copolymer
- Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jo Joba)
- Corylus Avellana Seed Oil (Hazel)
- Prunus Insititia Seed Oil
- Parfum/Fragrance
- Vanillin
- Tocopheryl Acetate
- Ammonium Glycyrrhizate
- Capsicum Annuum Fruit Extract6
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sun Flower)
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)
- Leaf Extract

and is designed to enhance, protect and nourish, which it does, wonderfully.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil I am told, is going to be back online by the end of the week from www.clarins.co.uk and it is £18.00.

Join the queue. I have (need the raspberry!).

Delilah Cosmetics - GORGE.

Even after all my years in the industry I still love it when I see something new and think 'PHWOARRR'. That's exactly what I did with Delilah.

The brainchild of 3 friends, Delilah is a British born and led brand that launched onto the scene fairly quietly this summer. It's also, like Charlotte Tilbury (for me anyway), a brand that literally makes you think you need every piece. I wish I was joking. I cherry picked the two that I've used religiously since I got them - although more will undoubtedly make their way on to this blog before long (esp the loose powder).

This, dear readers is Stiletto Cream Lipstick and to show you the true representation of the colours on their website - always a bugbear of mine - this is one I papped at home with no filter:

The colours are exquisite and they hold, the textures are beautiful and the packaging is reassuringly heavy. Rose gold is used throughout the range to great effect.

And this little wonder has replaced the aforementioned Tilbury Retoucher as my grab'n'go concealer. Perfect consistency for me, I use this all around the eye area, sides of nose, around the mouth to redefine lip line when out and about.. pretty much everywhere.

The only downside is the lack of availability in stores. Delilah is available in selected spas and online at www.delilahcosmetics.com - and I suspect that is their choice - but someone, somewhere more readily available needs to pull their finger out and take this brand on. It's a travesty. *becomes a beauty buyer*

Prices start around £20. The lippies and the pencil concealers are both £24. Love.

Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Collection

Virus/illness be gone - I am finally back on the scene *YAY* and this week I attended events hosted by two of my favourite ladies in the industry - Charlotte Tilbury - more of which later - and Poppy King aka Lipstick Queen. It makes such a huge difference when a brand is driven by the passion of the name on the box rather than an excel spreadsheet reporting into shareholders. It really comes across with both Poppy and Charlotte.

After the launch of the beautiful Velvet Rope Collection - you must check out Brat Pack if you're a true red girl like me - comes the Silver Screen Collection. As with Velvet Rope, this collection has the same magnetised, heavy, packaging, reminiscent of vintage lipsticks.

Taking inspiration from the particles of real silver used in the film process during the early days of the motion picture industry - the collection is designed to mimic the extremely flattering, highly reflective surface used in the golden era of movies...

All seven shades are named after the infamous lines from the movie that inspired the colour.

As always with Poppy, the room captured the feel of the collection and I came away completely in love with all of the colours. I may have to buy more Muji storage as this obsession shows no signs of subsiding.

STELLA! - purple with a shimmer of turquoise (surprisingly wearable!)
YOU KID - a warm nude

COME UP - vibrant baby rose
SEE ME - soft peach
MADE IT - a deep wine - the subtle shimmer really works with this colour
PLAY IT -  a hot pink as shown below with one of my industry husbands Luke Stephens

I originally showed this pic on Instagram - this is the no filter version so you can see the colour. Also - I need that lighting installed at home please! The pair of us are flawless!

HAVE PARIS - pillar box red - and stunning

So the Lipstick Queen remains appropriately named - the Silver Screen Collection is available from September and is £35.00 from all Lipstick Queen stockists.

Michael Kors Beauty #SportySexyGlam

Yesterday I had possibly the best personal intro to a new range since I started the blog. Over lunch, with gorgeous company - *waves* - I was taken through the new Michael Kors Beauty range.

Those of you that know me IRL will understand my love for The Kors. I don't generally go in for the whole designer 'thing'. Oh but I love Michael Kors. Love him. If he was a singer he'd be SLB*. If he was a guitarist he'd be Jimmy Page. You see my point...
He's larger than life, throw-it-all-out-there and doesn't take himself too seriously. And this collection is a reflection of him. It's fun, glamorous, sexy and gorgeous all in one.

GLAM
SEXY

SPORTY

Predictably my favourites from the Collection are the bronzing powders (£34). Huge, gorgeous pigment - no glitter.

#Glam - Beam - The deepest golden bronze.

#Sporty - Glow - barely any shimmer - traditional bronzer - if you use NARS Laguna? This one is for you.

#Sexy - Flush - I think this is my favourite - it has a divine pinky/coral tint that literally looks like a 'flush'.

The above is all three lined up together to show the difference - and the below is my beloved NARS Sin blusher - for scale - see? HUGE.

Lip Lacquers £23.00

Lip Luster £21.00

Six shades of Nail Lacquer - £15.00 each.

And as if that wasn't enough...guess who he's used for the ad campaign?

And he's a Leo.

*snaps fingers in a Z formation*

Michael Kors Beauty is available in Macy's in the US and launches in selected House of Fraser stores in the UK on 18th September. It's beautiful. Go get yours.

Next week: the Fragrance and Body Collection

*Simon Le Bon - obvs.
