I've had a love affair with Mr Kors for a long time. As I mentioned recently on my Instagram, I was a bag, wallet and watch girl long before he did THIS:



Which, of course, sealed the deal. Let's not all pretend you don't think Girls on Film isn't the best song ever made for ads, you know it is. *is literally playing Duran Duran on a loop now*

ANYWAY: these three fragrances are the latest addition to the Kors stable and do not disappoint for fans of the originals.

White Luminous Gold is pear/jasmine/amber.
Rose Radiant Gold is spice/floral/musk.
24k Brilliant Gold is mandarin/floral/woody.

All are exactly as you would expect, with satisfying, ridiculously heavy packaging.

Michael Kors Into the Glow Collection

Well if anyone was going to do a 'Glow' collection it would be this man. King of Glam and handbags/accessories to boot, Michael Kors has made me even more desperate for some warmth than I was before - if that was possible.

The Limited Edition Into The Glow Collection features the usual suspects of lips, nails and bronzer but this is what has excited me the most. 

The Hydrating Bronze Gel Creme comes in two colours, both of which work well on most caucasian skin tones, neither of which is just 'glitter'. Although a darker skin would get the hydrating benefits of this, I don't think the colour would show in any way so not much point. Definitely don't buy before you try.
Permanent Vacation (sidebar: also the name of my favourite Aerosmith album), above, is peachier and on a pale skin gives a 'healthy' glow - and Sun Chaser, below - is more my kind of tone - it tells everyone you've been lying around in the sun and 'yes-don't-I-look-fabulous-thanking-you-kindly'. It can be worn alone or under foundation.

More inclusive colour-wise are the glosses and polishes. The Lip Lusters include gorgeous pops of coral and fiery pink in the usual MK packaging.

Both the glosses and nail lacquers come in semi-matching nudes, pinks and orange/corals - that do work on all tones.

Michael Kors Liquitan Self Tanner - Hall of Fame

Every so often I try a product that stops me in my tracks and makes me take to the keyboard tout de suite.

I suppose if anyone was going to do a good fake tan Kors would be your man - but I genuinely didn't expect it to be that good. Shame on you Hirons.

I am currently testing as many self tans and SPF's as I possibly can for an upcoming YouTube video - and this one (with one other - coming later) is the one I've reapplied the most. The colour is immediate - it has a beautiful golden bronze guide colour and doesn't smell of biscuits. It washes clean off the hands and doesn't go patchy after use.

Ree has done some colour swatches if you want to see the product - I'm saving that for YouTube.

Safe to say I'm sorry I doubted you Mike. Welcome to my beauty cupboard. Forever.

Yesterday I had possibly the best personal intro to a new range since I started the blog. Over lunch, with gorgeous company - *waves* - I was taken through the new Michael Kors Beauty range. 

Those of you that know me IRL will understand my love for The Kors. I don't generally go in for the whole designer 'thing'. Oh but I love Michael Kors. Love him. If he was a singer he'd be SLB*. If he was a guitarist he'd be Jimmy Page. You see my point...

He's larger than life, throw-it-all-out-there and doesn't take himself too seriously. And this collection is a reflection of him. It's fun, glamorous, sexy and gorgeous all in one.

Predictably my favourites from the Collection are the bronzing powders (£34). Huge, gorgeous pigment - no glitter.

#Glam - Beam - The deepest golden bronze.

#Sporty - Glow - barely any shimmer - traditional bronzer - if you use NARS Laguna? This one is for you.

#Sexy - Flush - I think this is my favourite - it has a divine pinky/coral tint that literally looks like a 'flush'.

Happy Friday People. I cannot TAKE this rain any more. So here, let's look at the new Michael Kors beauty coming in August.......

Containing 3 new scents - Sporty, Sexy and Glam. Each one has a fragrance, along with 2 Lip Lacquer shades, 2 Lip Luster gloss products and 2 nail polishes apiece. Three Bronze Powders along with a Bronze Powder Brush (HE-LLO!). Sun and body products include Indulgent Body Creme, Liquid Shimmer Dry Oil and Shimmer Bath Beads. And finally, three sun basics: Liquid Self Tanner, After Sun Gelee, and After Sun Lip Balm. 

Sigh. There. That's better isn't it?........ ROLL ON SUMMER.

2012 Awards. Best Fragrance Launches. Jo Malone, Robert Piguet and Michael Kors.

I have had a bit of a love affair with fragrance this year. There was no choosing between these three. All of which I have worn consistently since receiving them. Sometimes together. First up - and this is in order of their release only - like I say, I can't pick..

is Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud. I absolutely love this - a very welcome addition to the Cologne Collection, it started life as a Limited Edition but very quickly became a must-have in the permanent range.
Smoky oud, Damask roses and a little clove and praline.  Beautiful.

Next up is Petit Fracas. A subtle take on the original iconic Fracas. Predictably for me, this is a jasmine, tuberose and gardenia heart over a musk and sandalwood base. Softer than the original but still strong enough to pack a punch, I have worn this almost every day since I came across it.

Bringing up the rear but by no means last is Michael Kors Rose Gold. This new release is a blend of pink pepper, waterlily, raspberry, peony, gardenia and yes - obviously - tuberose.

Its heavy, but not too heavy - and really soft once settled. Again - almost daily usage since it launched. This one is Limited Edition - get it while you can.

Being Michael Kors, he roped in Mario Testino to photograph Karmen Pedaru - MK's muse, to showcase 'the Michael Kors woman, the epitome of effortless beauty and relaxed sophistication'. No need really - he could have just used this lovely visual of your favourite bloggers showcasing their love for Michael Kors watches.

I'd have done him a deal.
