Sarah Moon for NARS

Here's what happens when you put your head down and get on with your work and don't pay a lot of attention to your post and then walk around Selfridges and think 'Ooh pretty!' and realise that your makeup posts are way behind. So it is with an apology that I am letting you know about this beautiful collection from NARS because I'm sure it'll be close to selling out.

Sarah Moon for NARS is a beautiful Limited Edition Collection from the fashion photographer and was inspired by classic cinema, in particular, Metropolis.

While I could wax lyrical about the contents, background etc, what you need to know is that it's about as giftable as it gets at this time of year, and if you buy them, you won't want to use them. Mine is going straight in the 'limited edition' stash, only to see the light of day when Ava eBay's it behind my back.

The 'Get Real' Lip & Eye set in particular is a lucite keepsake box, that reassuringly weighs a ton, and looks amazing on a dressing table (says she, stashing it away). 

So if you can bear to actually use it, the Sarah Moon for NARS collection is available now from narscosmetics.com in the US and ASOS.com in the UK - who have been given some exclusives, so worth checking them out first.

NARS Monoi Body Glow II and Monoi Candle

OK so lovers of all things monoi - and longtime purchasers of Hei Poa - we finally got NARS to come up with the goods candle-wise. The downside is that it's limited edition - still, if we shout loud enough you never know...!

As much as I have loved the Monoi Body Glow for nearly 20 years - the candle is my must-have. It's huge, paraffin-free and the smell is insane.

The NARS Monoi range is available now. 

The Body Glow is £44.00 and available from NARS.co.uk  in the UK and $59.00 from Sephora in the US.

The Monoi Candle is £38.00 from Selfridges.com and $65.00 from NARS.com - but they're going quickly.

NARS Under Cover - Summer 2016

Oh Monsieur Nars, you are on a roll Sir. There is a ton of newness from NARS and this isn't even the last you will see this week.
For makeup obsessives and collectors, the NARS Summer Under Cover Collection is worth looking at before you even open the packaging.
Designed with artist Konstantin Kakanias, it is based around the French Riviera, and is of course, Limited Edition.

Dual-Intensity Blushes and Eyeshadows come in two and four colours respectively, and all can be used wet or dry.

The Lip Covers come in four colours, all are brilliantly wearable, no blue or green lip gloss in this collection.. :) The Lip Covers contain passion fruit seed oil and vitamin e and are not sticky at all.

Just an FYI - the Lip Cover in Members Only (above) is exclusive to NARS online - you won't find it in stores.

NARS Supersized Orgasm

Every brand, if they're lucky, has their 'Hero' product. Or as I call it: The Pension Fund. Think Chanel No.5, Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin, Eve Lom Cleanser, Pixi Glow Tonic. 

When NARS launched Orgasm in 1999 we literally could not keep it in stock. Every single customer was interested in it - and it resulted in much joy instore with so many poor chaps sent in by their partners to ask for 'An Orgasm'. Bless.

NARS have always been my favourite blush brand. The packaging and the colours to me, make them pretty much stand-alone in the market. Orgasm is the perfect peachy-pink hybrid that suits most skins one way or another. 

To celebrate the launch of Francois Nars' first stand-alone boutique in Covent Garden next month, a new supersized Orgasm is being released and it it glorious. Designed collaboratively with Fabien Baron from Baron & Baron - who also had a hand in one of my other favourite brands - Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb and BonBon, the oversized compact is Limited Edition and has #whatmakesyoublush etched into the mirror, again, guaranteeing that I won't actually use it. *adds to the special pile*

If you're a blush/bronzer addict like my good self, brace yourselves for this one. It contains Laguna bronzer, Paloma sculpting powders (top left) and four blushers. FOUR. Robotic, Blasphemy, Luster and Dolce Vita. It's going to be really hard for me to use this in the correct fashion, when my instinct is to just swirl a huge brush over everything and throw it all on my face.

Just kidding. Obviously I'm not going to use it, it's going in the hidden Limited Edition stash. That's why I have to buy in doubles. I have issues. I know.
