Second cleanse, AM cleanse OR a simple cleanse in the evening if you're not wearing a ton of makeup.

Yes.

I've had it for a few weeks, used sporadically.

$9.99 for 118ml. One pump dispenses a lot of product, so I tend to use half a pump. It will last a good while.

Anything.

Good. It lists the ingredients and it's easy to navigate.

How’s the distribution? Available freely or limited?

It's in Target and Ulta, so good.

What’s good about it?

This is a good, affordable cleansing oil. It removes makeup, although I actually like it as a second cleanse or to remove lighter makeup. What it's really good for is massage. A small amount, giving grip, not slip, is great for this routine, which is rather mortifyingly, my very first blog post. However, it still stands as a good massage routine and can stay up until I update it. 

The oil is quite heavy, it's not runny, so apply half a pump, spread across the ends of your fingers, get on to your face, and have at it.

What’s not so good about it?

Not much. It works. It's not extortionate. Try it.

Would I purchase/repurchase?

Yes. It's good.

Do you need it?

If you need an affordable cleansing oil, absolutely.

Without meaning to sound ridiculous, ‘fresh’. Light, slightly floral/spa, but it fades quickly.

I would do second cleanse or AM cleanse. This is a skin cleanser, not a makeup remover.

Either.

On and off for years. Literally.

How much is it? /Size/Approximate cost per usage?
£62.50 for 125ml. Hard to say exactly cost per usage, but if you were using this solely as a second/am cleanse I would guesstimate it to last 6 weeks or more.

What’s the website like?
Great, especially if ‘green’ is your thing. Full of information including inci lists, but very biased to the ‘natural’ approach to skincare, as you would expect.

How’s the distribution? Available freely or limited?
Distribution is getting better in the UK, and Tata is widely available in the USA.

What’s good about it?
If you’re a fan of Tata’s cleansers, my long-time favourites on the market, it’s possible that this one passed you by. It doesn’t shout as loud as the others, it speaks to a quieter audience. I realise I’m making it sound human. I'll move on.
This contains salicylic acid and pink clay, but they're in an aloe vera base, making them feel extremely gentle on the skin. If you have angry skin, reactive skin, or if you have been told you have traditionally 'sensitive' skin, this should possibly be on your radar. Whilst it would remove a small amount of makeup, I would save it as a skin cleanser, not a makeup remover. I always appreciate the addition of clay in a cleanser for days when I want a little more ooomph, and this is no exception.

What’s not so good about it?
Being Tata, it’s not cheap, but that’s otherwise it, it’s a lovely cleanser. It's extremely similar to the Regenerating Cleanser, minus the abrasive element, so if you have that one, maybe skip this one?

Would I purchase/repurchase?
Yes.

Do you need it?
If you can afford it, and you are prone to skin that is constantly annoyed with you, it may be worth you checking it out. If you can afford it.

Great for summer, but I would use this in the mornings in winter.

AM cleanse for me.

Can it be taken around the eyes?
I only go as far as the orbital bone, not actually over the lashes. The menthol would sting.

No

How long was it tested for?
I've had it for a month and used it sporadically throughout that time.

What’s good about it?
I should absolutely hate this cleanser. But like carbs, even knowing that it’s not the best for me, I love it.
It feels almost like a creamy soap, it has menthol in it, I mean it’s so far from a glowing example of cleansing product.
However: the formulators have somehow made it soft, smooth, gentle and non-drying. The menthol is refreshing rather than burning, and although completely unnecessary in a cleansing product, it honestly enhances this one for me. Can’t actually believe I’m saying all this, but there we are. I find myself reaching for it over much more ‘clean’, expensive cleansers in the mornings.
It doesn't dry out my skin and if anything my skin feels softer after cleansing. I would assume that this is down to the salicylic acid, but I sense that the amount of salicylic in this is minimal, because otherwise, being from the US, it would have to be listed as an 'Active' ingredient with a drug labelling.
I don't know what to tell you. I'm as surprised as you are.

What’s not so good about it?
If used twice daily, or even daily, it could possibly become drying. But used in the mornings a few times a week, you should be fine.
Don't be led by my strange love for it, if you have a problem with fragrance or menthol, obviously steer well clear.

$5.99 for 70z/200ml. A ridiculous bargain.

Do you need it?
Yes, if you want a quick, easy, cleanser that is beyond affordable.

For the price range, it would be the CeraVe, Neutrogena (other products) and chemist cleansers along the lines of La Roche Posay, Avene etc, but I have yet to find anything similar in texture and results for the price.

You can remove it by splashing off if you prefer, as demo'd in their videos, but I prefer a flannel.

First cleanse/second cleanse or AM cleanse?
Second or AM. Although it does remove makeup in the demo, I found I had to scrub a little too hard and the effect afterwards was a tad dry.

Best for winter or summer?
Summer or second cleanse in the winter, but not on really dry skins.

I've had it for three weeks.

For those of you unaware, Glossier is a brand sprung from the hugely successful beauty website Into The Gloss. It's a masterpiece of marketing, and manages to somehow sell Glossier sweatshirts logo'd up like the GAP and three pink plastic jiffy envelopes for $12, alongside the newer skincare and makeup lines. It's only available in the US, so knowing I was headed to NY recently, I asked a girlfriend of mine to order everything in for me, and it was waiting for me on arrival. I also got my hands on Milk amongst other things, so more reviews will be coming.

How’s the distribution? Available freely or limited?
Only available through their website, glossier.com. No plans to bring it to the UK, and they only ship inland to the US and Puerto Rico.

What’s good about it?
This is a nice formula that definitely cleans the skin, but I don't use it for makeup removal. In my personal use, I found I was instinctively avoiding it if my skin felt dry/dehydrated. It's nice for a morning cleanse, and fine as a second cleanse after a good oily balm.
It's nicely ph-balanced, not too alkaline, not too stripping. It feels nice when using it and is very comfortable on the skin.  I love the packaging, it does the job and isn't faffy. If you want the money in your formula and not your packaging, you'll like this entire range. They've managed to make some of the most generic, low-priced packaging available look aspirational. Clever work.

What’s not so good about it?
If your skin is on the dry side, I don't think you'll find this nourishing enough. It's very 'American' in its formulation, i.e. designed as a gel, no whisper of oil content, the preference for splashing off and no mention of a face cloth/flannel.

Would I purchase/repurchase?
Yes, but probably only for Ava, I prefer more oil content.

Do you need it?
If you're under 30 with good skin, you'll like it.
If you have oilier skin, you'll like it.
If you're really dry or eczema-prone, there are better options for you.

What’s good about it?

This is the first cleanser of this nature I have tried in a long time that has not left my skin feeling like a shrivelled up prune. It is fairly gentle, although I would stop short of saying I could use it every day without dryness becoming an issue.

My skin felt comfortable after use, it was soft and not parched. If you were particularly oily/combination I think you would like the effects of this.

In essence, this is definitely a suitable alternative to Cetaphil. Similar price bracket/claims/distribution/packaging/minimal ingredients and yet this is superior, if only due to the lack of sls, although for those of you concerned with them, it is also paraben free.

What’s not so good about it?

I would not describe this as suitable for very dry or eczema-prone skin, as it says on the bottle. It will be too harsh, regardless of the label.

Works well with?

Anything, it's a cleanser.

What’s the website like?

Good for information, but the product would no doubt be bought from huge drugstores/Target etc.

Yes

Do you need it?

If you use Cetaphil, yes.

If you have normal/combination/oily/slightly dry skin, yes.

If you have really dry or really sensitive skin, I would stick with balms and milks.

What’s good about it?

A lovely cleanser that does what it says on the box. This is about the closest I get to a foaming cleanser. If you're looking for something to wean you off your traditional 'foam' products, this is one to consider. Much more gentle, but still efficacious. Although they say this will remove makeup, this is an obvious morning or second PM cleanser for me. I wouldn't waste it using it to remove makeup. Smells lovely and fresh, leaves skin soft and comfortable.

What’s not so good about it?

Nothing really. Good size, gorgeous packaging and excellent contents in the bottle itself. I wouldn't use daily if you were really dry, you'd be better off with the Rosehip Cleanser IMO.

Works well with?

The CoQ10 Toner in the range is really lovely and I do use it in place of acids on occasion, usually when I'm using the cleanser. Although you obviously don't have to :)

What’s the website like?

Nice. Basic, clean and fresh with just enough information and no 'faff'. And full ingredient listings.

Would I purchase/repurchase?

Absolutely. I bought this along with most of the range from ABeautifulWorld.co.uk and would repurchase.

That's it - I'm sorry I literally have no clue who Josie Maran, is, or what her background is. This is more to do with her lack of distribution in the UK than anything else though. I came across the body butter in Sephora, smelt it, bought it, loved it, bought it again. Searched for them in the UK and came across them on QVC. Saw this, thought 'Yes thanks.'

What is it?

It feels nice on the skin. Smooth, luxurious. Absorption rate not really appropriate on this one.

What’s good about it?
I'm torn about this one. It's a lovely texture, feels good with massage, it really does remove makeup very well.

What’s not so good about it?
It doesn't smell great. That shouldn't be important but it would almost be preferable if it was unfragranced. And despite removing well, I always feel a little residue.  I'm not a fan of the cloth it comes with either. Some people complain that cotton flannels are rough, but nothing drags the skin like a microfibre cloth. IMO.

Works well with?
A good acid toner afterwards for any residue.

What’s the website like?
Pretty basic. Easy to navigate.

Would I repurchase?
Probably not. There are other cleansers out there that do the same job/if not better and the strange smell just doesn't make it a pleasure to use. I'm sure I'm in a minority though, it's clearly a best seller. Do let me know if you love it.
The body butters however, are divine and they are always on my list.

'Apply liberally all over the face and neck with either a sponge (EEWW) or pads of your fingers. Blend onto the skin gently stroking in sweeping upward motions.'
I personally hate sponges, but you crack on.
I removed with a flannel, as per usual.

As mentioned above, this just didn't suit my skin. I felt a residue after use, no matter how many times I tried it - and it was too drying for me. It may work perfectly for you if you are oilier than me though, so bear that in mind. It might be right up your alley.
When I did use it, it was usually AM. I would not use this to remove my makeup.

Works well with?
In my case a really hydrating spritz to combat dryness after use.

What’s good about it?
I love this cleanser. This and the Sonya Dakar Eye Wash are my favourite oil-based liquid (as opposed to balm) cleansers at the moment. They're completely gentle, yet destroy makeup in seconds. A joy to use. Neither cause any further irritation and skin is left completely comfortable.
This washes off clean enough to use your prescription retinoids on the clean skin straight afterwards (as you always should) without needing to tone. No residue.

What’s not so good about it?
Actually not so sure if it's a negative but this is fragrance free, yet contains essential oils. Unsure why or which ones, but bear that in mind if they are an issue for you. Otherwise, crack on.

Works well with?
The Eye Wash is great before this, and all acids are obviously good afterwards. 

What’s the website like?
Great with the exception of no full ingredient listing, which lets it down. Otherwise all good.

Would I repurchase?
Yes. And back up.

200ml - it should last a good few months.

What’s good about it?
As much as I disliked the pads, I like this. It's gentle, soothing, gets the job done with no irritation or dryness. It removes makeup perfectly well, but I would still use it only as a skin-contact cleanser as opposed to a removal cleanse.

What’s not so good about it?
Not much - it's good.
It is very runny, so once it's in your palm you need to get it onto your face stat. But that's about it - on the plus side, it means that if you immediately go red with friction that this would quite possibly suit you better than some cleansers as you don't have to 'work' it in.

Works well with?
Acids after! :)

What’s the website like?
As I mentioned in the first review of Juice Beauty that I did, the website is great.

Would I repurchase?
Yes. It's nice. It's affordable. It does no further harm.

What’s good about it?
This is a beautiful balm for those wanting something that nourishes as well as removing makeup. Clearly made by someone who understands the importance of taking the time to cleanse correctly, there is no rushing this product. I use it as a morning massage cleanse or an evening second cleanse. As always, I don't want to waste it removing makeup.

What’s not so good about it?
I would go easy if you have active acne as you will probably remove the heads and make them bleed.

Works well with?
A good acid to follow.

Excellent. Full information on the product, access to Dija and easy to navigate.
