Ooh a new fave. The first time I tried this I loved it. Loved it. I use a lot of hand cream - especially in this weather and on skin consult days. I still adore Aerin Rose Hand Cream but this is smaller - and cheaper (I am always asked for cheaper!).
It's 30% glycerin and has niacinamide at 4% making it perfect for Mr Hirons and Son No.1 - both of whom suffer with dry hands.

It coats the hands - in a really good way - it's not sticky or oily at all - just really really comfortable. Especially good for people with dermatitis/eczema/psoriasis (through my testing - not a particular claim LRP make).

AERIN Rose Hand and Body Cream

This is one of those 'had it in mind for ages but never managed to blog about it' posts.

Since I've been doing the skin consultations I've had to wash my hands even more than usual - which can be harsh on them when you're borderline obsessive about it in the first place.

I keep this in my office and reapply about 5 times a day. I don't need to you understand, I want to because I am completely obsessed with it. Completely. Obsessed.

I doubt I'd ever use it on my body, it's honestly never occurred to me. It's mainly about the hands with this one. It's rich but not greasy, it absorbs brilliantly, leaves no residue and the rose scent is very unique. There's no 'old lady' rose going on here, it's elegant and soft. I could not be more in love with this hand cream.

2012 Awards. Hand Cream of the Year. Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Correcting Hand Cream SPF 15.

I'm not going for an award-in-every-category this year. Just highlighting a few favourites that I've really enjoyed using in 2012.

Regular readers of this blog will know that I haven't always had a good relationship with the Clinique range. I think the 3 Step is in dire need of updating and Clarifying Lotion? No.

Having said that, I love this hand cream. It has become a staple. Oddly, I keep it on my bedside and use it in the evenings when I get into bed. I love the smell of SPF (I never said I was sane) and this absorbs really well, leaving no residue. You however, may want to take advantage of the SPF and use it during the day as is intended, like a sane person. Another tip - always rub the residue of your hand cream (and moisturiser!) on your elbows - always. I met Goldie Hawn in the 90's - she looked (and was) amazing but her elbows looked like lizard skin and completely gave away her age (sorry Goldie! Love you!).

Monday Must-Have - Jergens Extra Softening Moisturising Hand Cream

I love a bit of Jergens. And I know I've posted about them on numerous occasions previously but this one deserves an extra mention.

Their hand cream or 'Extra Softening Moisturising Hand Cream' as they prefer to call it - has become an absolute must-have at my bedside and in my handbag. When the 3 for 2 offers are on I get 6. That way when my husband/kids steal them I don't feel quite so put out.
It contains jojoba, soy, yoghurt and shea butter and most importantly, absorbs immediately and smells gorgeous.

It retails at - wait for it: £2.54 - yes £2.54 for 75ml and is worth every penny.

A must-have for a Monday!
