How does it smell?
Herbal. No pun intended. Nice herbal, not coriander (cilantro) filth.
Apply to dry skin, massage in thoroughly, remove with warm, damp facecloth. Josh advocates dry cleansing, which is interesting, but would kill me (thank God I'm not dramatic).
First cleanse/second cleanse or AM cleanse?
This is a good cleanser ingredients-wise. I use second cleanse or AM cleanse, getting the full benefit.
Best for winter or summer?
Either.
Does it remove waterproof eye makeup?
Yes, but don't waste it on that.

What’s good about it?
This is a lovely organic oil cleanser, that leaves the skin completely calm and soothed. It's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-microbial and antibacterial and balances oil production, cleans up dirt and brightens the skin. It feels beautiful to use. If you like cleansing, if you like organic, and you like oils, this is bliss.
What’s not so good about it?
It's not the cheapest oil out there for the size, but it's entirely organic, and that doesn't come cheap. Use it as a morning cleanse to wake the skin up, not in the evenings to wash away makeup, it's too good for that.
Would I purchase/repurchase?
Yes. It's lovely.
Do you need it?
If you can afford it, yes. If not, stick with chemist alternatives.

Are these products ok for a 22 year old dehydrated skin ? Prone to clogged pores :(
I have a question for you. How does this balance oil production? I get oily skin but also have very dehydrated skin... and I find the moisturizers and other products for oily skin are too light and drying and yet the ones for dry skin cause a lot of oil production. So there are actually products out there that will help with oil production without going the extreme (i.e. acne cleansers)? If so, I would love to know of others I can try out :)
ReplyDeleteHello Caroline. One of my long-standing A Beautiful World favourites is the Indie Lee Facial Oil. It is 100% squalene oil from olives and is a lovely light oil which never irritates my skin when it is going through a sensitive phase. Have you tried it?

Josh R products are beautiful! I have this oil and on my third bottle of Spritz! The oil is so tiny though I was a little shocked. However if I use on a cotton pad it goes much further or in the usual way... You actually only need a tiny bit. Thanks Caroline we all bloody love you.
ReplyDeleteSounds great! I don't think I've ever tried an organic option, I really struggle to find good cleansing oils for my skin, I love their consistency but none of them truly convince me to the point where I want to repurchase them.

ReplyDeleteI wondered if Caroline, or anyone reading, could help. I'm looking for a makeup remover, "cleaner / greener / natural" whichever is the correct term that is not too expensive. I find a lot of the cleansers I have come under the "too good for makeup removal category" so I'm always at a bit of a loss with what to use. I avoid Coconut Oil, Beeswax and Shea due to acne. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
