Yes, I'm curious about the ren balm cleanser too. I really like the Clinique one. But as caroline says, we should be circulating products. It would be nice to have another one to know is good.
Hi Caroline, happy new year! I've been using cleansing balms for a year now (right now the REN one, which I love), and I know you prefer to use flannels to wipe them off, but since I'm moving back to re-start college (or as the Brits say, Uni) in the US, and can't bring too much flannels with me or do the laundry every week, can you recommend balms that will be easily washed off/emulsify? Or perhaps a cleansing cream? I've been looking at Radical Hydrating Cleanser, or perhaps Aesop's Purifying Cream Cleanser.
Happy new year Caroline, just wondering when you are going to post the winners of the giveaways? Dying to know if I was lucky with the Sunday Reilly one! X
Happy New Year Caroline. Thanks for this. Have bookmarked page, easier than making a list as plan on trying out each of these little beauties in time. May 2014 be spectacular for us all, especially in the skincare dept !!
This is a lovely post! I already have most of these photos in my phone as I used to screen capture after reading your posts, helps when I am shopping:) thanks xx
Please could you do a skincare routine recommendation for acne rosacea sufferers? I have this frustrating condition and am confused by what I should use and should avoid - agggghhh! Also, I've just bought Emma Hardie cleanser, Ren evercalm cleansing milk and Alpha-H Liquid Gold. Have I made a terrible mistake? Are these products going to make my acne rosacea worse? Help please...
Hello! Recent fan here, but already very loyal ;) I have a question concerning cleansing balms... Do you have to use a tissue (or cloth - don't know the best way to call them, never used it) to remove a cleansing balm? Can't you just wash it with running water?
Caroline, I'm desperate for some help, and hope you, or any of your lovely readers, can point me in the right direction. Is there, anywhere on the planet, a Caroline Hirons for HAIR?! I started following your advice about a year ago and can honestly say, save the odd new-product reaction, my skin has never been better.
However, and I may as well mention all of this in case any of it is relevant, I suffered a miscarriage in October of last year, and afterwards my hair started to fall out, in clumps. I was reassured by the consultant that it was perfectly normal, as the pregnancy hormone in me had now gone, and so my hair would go with it. But, although the clumps seem to be getting less in both quantity and regularity, my hair is now snapping off near the root, and becoming greasy within a day of washing it, whereas in the past I was always able to get three days out of it between washes; four if I used Batiste. I have naturally light ash blonde hair, very fine, and not a lot of it on top, and although I used to have bleach highlights in to brighten it up, I've not done this for almost a year and most of the bleach has since grown out. It seems to be my natural, new hair, that is suffering the most.
Can you give my any advice on what I can do/take, or instead point me in the direction of your Coiffure Counterpart?! I'm afraid to do anything with it at the moment.
*Drooling...* I think you should also do a kind of poll, where you ask how many products people have bought this year following your recommendations. I know I have...
Since I discovered your blog early in 2013 I think I have bought nearly everything you've recommended, as long as it's from a cruelty free brand. And I've loved them all. Thank you :)
