Thank you so much for all your straight forward no nonsense advice over the past 4 years. My skin and I are eternally grateful and after years of mutual dislike we became friends thanks to you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and many more to come please :-)
Oh my god, dream prize! My favourite post has to be the simple but brilliant Routines cheat sheet. I can't tell you the awful things I was doing to my skin before I read that post. Discovering the double cleanse and my new BFF the acid toner has improved my skin so much during a very tricky hormonal time (coming off BCP... 9 months later still suffering. What a b****) - still a way to go but it's definitely getting there and pretty much all thanks to your advice. So if nothing else thank you for that! I will be a lifelong reader and have spread the good word.
ReplyDeleteRoutines cheat sheet
ReplyDeleteIt has to be the Routines cheat sheet - revolutionised how I looked at my skin and resulted in me looking bright and fresh faced without make up every day. You're absolutely amazing!x
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you best beauty blog ever !! thx for the opportunity to win ! actually your Cheat Sheets are my favourites, my skin relies on them on a daily basis ! Keep up the good work mrs Hirons. you're the best ! xxx
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post could be: 'Routines - Cheat Sheet'
ReplyDeleteSo much information! :)
Argh, so hard to choose a favourite! I don't know if this counts, but the routines cheat sheet completely transformed how I thought about skincare - I love all the cheat sheets, but I think that one is one of the most informative.
ReplyDeleteFingers and toes crossed! X
Happy Birthday!!!! Your post about cleansing morning and night with a washcloth, made my skin (and my mums) much more nicer with a healthier look.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I can't believe you've only been around for 4 years, feels like I've known you as my skin guru forever! My most go to post is the cheat sheet, but tbh, I read every single post!! X
ReplyDeleteMy favourite blog post over the past 4 years has been the Dry or Dehydrated? post, purely because that was a complete game-changer for me, I didn't realise how to differentiate! Now I have such a huge interest in skincare, congratulations on this milestone! SJ
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing price, thank you! Choosing a favourite post is pretty damn hard, but I think I'd go for your Routines Cheat Sheet here: http://www.carolinehirons.com/2013/06/routines-cheat-sheet.html So useful.
ReplyDeleteTuesday, 4 June 2013 - Routines - Cheat Sheet
ReplyDeleteChanged my regime and therefore my skin, amazing post.
I love your post on Clinique's Take the Day Off balm. My skin is much better!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post you have ever posted is definitely your routine cheat sheet! It really helped me taking care of my skin in the right way and strop killing it with aggressive products, I am so grateful for this!
ReplyDeleteI love the beauty myths series, informative but hilarious - favourite of those would probably be "cleansing in the am" for the pure disgust at those who just splash water around...
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic prize! Favourite post has to be the dry or dehydrated one too. I'd always thought I was oily until then!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite blog post is definitely you routine cheat sheet! It helped me so much to take care of my skin in an appropriate way and stop killing it with aggressive products, I am so grateful for that! Thank you so much for the amazing tips you've been giving for 4 years!
ReplyDeleteThis would be fantastic! Thanks for the giveaway (knowledge is better than product in my opinion!) I think my favourite post has been the routines cheat sheet and also the SPF cheat sheet!
ReplyDeletemy favourite blog post has to be the "spots" cheat sheet. it opened my eyes to what was actually going on with my skin. whereas before i was using foaming cleansers, alcohol toner and light moisturiser and i was over oily. now my acne has gone, i have combination/ normal skin and i have so much more confidence. i cant thank you enough, your advice is life changing and my motto for anything skin related is "what would caroline do!!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a prize! Oils for oily skin has changed my skin. Much less oily since I started using an oil. Such a crazy idea, but it works.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for helping to shape my skincare life! For me the most eyeopening post was about spots, and how my skin probably isn't really acne prone! I would love nothing more than a consultation with you! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe Beauty Myths posts really helped me - especially the cleansing in the AM, I now prioritise it in the same way as I do my evening routine. Thanks so much for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the milestone! My favourite post of yours has to be the acne cheat sheet. I had horrendous skin and thought I had tried everything, but following your advice has brought me such a long way. Can't thank you enough! Keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteThe cheat sheets have been an easy way to brush up on my routine after getting a little lax- thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post, echoing everyone, is your Routines Cheat Sheet. Holy grail status. Love you and the blog, and discovering you were a fellow #LFC fan was the cherry on the cake! T xx
ReplyDeleteYour recommendation of the Merumaya balm changed my skin. Amazing! So that would have to be my favourite post! But thanks so much for all the excellent advice on here, it's brilliant. x
ReplyDeleteRoutines cheat sheet. It was the first thing I read when I found this blog and it changed my life. I send the link on to everyone I ever talk skincare with.
ReplyDeleteThe routines Cheat sheet from 4 june 2013! Everything I wanted to know in one post!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy how frank and honest your comments and blog posts are - congratulations on the 4 year mark!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post that you have posted and that I keep going back to is your routine cheat sheet. Not only was it so informative but it was also fun.
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your cheat sheet on Dry or Dehydrated. I didn't know there was a difference before, now even just the small changes I've made have made a difference. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI only started reading your blog late last year after stumbling upon it looking for some new skin care products. My first read was Clinic Lessons: November. I threw out my magnifying mirror after reading it!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post is from 2012 and its the Pixi Glow Tonic one,I love this product and it has made an amazing difference to my skin!
ReplyDeleteRoutines cheat sheet for sure, and my discovery of liquid gold- it's changed my life!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post that you have made was your routine cheat sheet. Not only was it so informative about when and what products I should be using, but you handled it with humour, which is appreciated.
ReplyDeleteCheat sheets are my favourite, I often revisit them when I'm unsure about a certain type of product or my skin is misbehaving.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very informative and entertaining 4 years! x
Although a fairly new subscriber, I've probably back-read 90% of your posts (stalker much?!) but I the cheat sheets are totally my most visited! Can I pick them all? The routines cheat sheet is probably the one that's had the biggest effect on me though. Thanks for all your help - skincare GODDESS :)
ReplyDeleteI often find myself revisiting the cheat sheets, so they must be my favourite!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very informative and entertaining 4 years x
I'm a relatively newcomer to your blog after stumbling upon it after Googling some skincare products. My first read was "Clinic Lessons: November" I threw out my magnifying mirror after that!
ReplyDeleteThe Routines Cheat Sheet is my favorite. I thought I was taking good care of my skin... but then I realized how much better I could do.
ReplyDeleteThis would be amazing ! Not found anyone who understands me and my skin problems yet ! haha xx
ReplyDeleteIt is very very difficult to choose just one favorite post because there are a bunch who are responsible for saving my skin, however I would probably say Top Tips for Great Skin!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the Dry or Dehydrated Cheat Sheet. My face is oily, but treating it as dehydrated has made such a difference!
ReplyDeleteI loved your post on spots - it's really made a difference to my face and I thank you for that!!
ReplyDeleteCheat sheets! and also any posts about pepta bright, it's helping me so much with my acne scarring! I am forever in your debt x
ReplyDeleteObviously the routine and facial massage cheat sheets - I hadn't seen these until your recent update as I read on my phone so I don't get the sidebar. They were so helpful. But the one that really made my day was when you promised to get on you tube! Happy anniversary and well done on your well-deserved success.
ReplyDeleteNow please pick me!
Cheat sheets + any posts where you introduced me to peptabright, it is helping so much with acne scarring! I am forever in your debt x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab prize! Reading your blog has changed my skin! I absolutely love your myth buster posts. Chloe x
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post is the routines cheat sheet!
ReplyDeleteThe cleansing cheat sheet :)
ReplyDeleteI love every one of your posts but I guess if I had to choose it would be the "Sudden Breakouts" post which I reference all of the time. Thanks for this fantastic blog and thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeletecheers, Jodi
EVERY SINGLE ONE!! Although the routines one is definitely the favourite
ReplyDeleteThe cheat sheets ... I'm currently using 2 'Caroline Hirons' approved products :) xx
ReplyDeleteEVERY SINGLE ONE - although routines is my personal favourite"
ReplyDeleteCheat Sheets .... I am currently using 2 'Caroline Hirons' approved products :) x
ReplyDeleteAll of your cheat sheets are wonderful Caroline but especially the routines one, revolutionised my skincare routine!! xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cheat sheets for me too!! Routines and toners!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4 years of blogging!!!
ReplyDeleteAll of your posts have been really enlightening and made a huge difference on my skin's health... Although for the amount of fuss free information compiled, I'll have to say the post I most enjoined reading was the "Routines" one!
Hope the posts keep rolling and your success keeps growing for the years to come =)
XO
Routine cheat cheat I for one was not using a flannel. Also for introducing me to oil cleansers, for that I'll be forever grateful. Tbh I would be hard to think of one specific post, since seeing your video with the pixiwoos I've read every post. My skin still has issues but it has never been better.
ReplyDeleteCaroline, your routines cheat sheet (and actually just your cheat sheets in general) have totally changed the way I look at skincare. So much so that I've started my own handcrafted collection of skincare products all on my own, with the collection being built on the fabulousness of oils to include a balm cleanser, hydrating toner, and face oils. You have been a HUGE influence, so thank you.
ReplyDeleteJesslynn
You are so insightful!! Can I also safely say you are a bit of a metalhead yourself too? ;)
ReplyDeleteOh and my favourite post is the anti-ageing cheat sheet.
ReplyDeleteClarly a popular opinion but for me it is definitely the Routines cheat sheet - It gave me helpful advice on exactly what I need to be doing for my skin - and I havent looked back!! My skin is much better and it's all thanks to you!! Congratulations and I hope you have another four successful years!!
ReplyDeleteGeorgina
I love your cheat sheets in general but I think that my favourite blog post is the cheat sheet about toners!
ReplyDeleteNot very original, but your cheat sheet on routines, for sure. I used to use the Clinique three-step (don't judge me!) and as you've predicted, the exfoliator made most of my face fall off. I went to a Clinique counter and asked what was happening, given I was using the most mild formula, and the lady on the counter told me I was 'pressing too hard' with the cotton pad on my face. Er... I decided to do a bit of research and read a bit, but I couldn't quite figure out how everything fitted together. I had names of products, but I didn't know what did what and how things worked. Bit melodramatic maybe, but finding your blog was something of a revelation, and I finally understood what did what and what order they did them in, rather than just having a cupboard full of potions and no clue. Not to mention the flannels! So thank you for passing on all your wit and wisdom and congrats on the anniversary.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Birthday, Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for your cheat sheets, but I also love your beauty myths! They address things most of us have all thought before, and I am very grateful you've cleared them up! :)
Congrats on your 4 year anniversary! So glad you've come this far and I hope you have many more happy years :) My favourites are always your cheat sheets :) p.s What a fab prize xxx
ReplyDeleteChoosing one post on your blog is a mission. So many of them have been spot on- no fuss, no pandering, no brand claims- just straight up truth and fact. I also love the fact that you are anti 'anti-ageing' products. Why should we be seeking to anti-age? One post which has really helped me is the skincare routine post- what we should be doing and when. I wrote it out and stick to it. It has helped me so much. I also love that you are not afraid to add to posts and revise them as things change.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th blog birthday. Thank you for being so generous with your time, expertise and knowledge. You rock! :)
Your cheat sheets have changed my skincare routine! I now know how to look after my skin and the best way to treat different problems such as dehydration, spots etc.
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the best prize ever! Cheat Sheets are the best!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Year Anniversaryy!1
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post have got to be the Routine Cheat sheet. I love how its simply explains what different steps do, and initially I had no idea I could use facial oils on my face being afraid of walking around with a greasy face, but its done wonders for my skin. I also love the Beauty jargon page - which basically you emphasised on how much marketing plays a role in the promotion of a product particularly with words that we might be inclined to trust but shouldn't really.
Thanks Caroline! :)
I used to use Clinique's three-step (don't judge me) and, as you predicted, my face began to fall off. I went to the counter and asked why, given I was using their most mild formula. The woman told me that it was my fault, because I was 'pressing too hard' with the cotton pads. Er... I started reading up a little on skincare, and ended up with several pots of gorgeous products, but little idea how to use them, what they did, how they worked or how anything fitted together. Literally whether you put on serum first or last, how much oil to use, you name it. Finally I found your blog, your cheat sheets, and particularly your post on routines, and it finally all fitted together and I started to feel (a little) like I knew what I was doing. I had pretty awful skin when I was younger, but now people regularly ask me for my 'secret' ;) (I direct them here, obvs). And flannels! Revelation. Anyway, it's the cheat sheet on routines for me! Thanks for imparting all your wit and wisdom, and congrats on four successful years :)
ReplyDeleteThe routines cheat sheet has changed my skin forever! You have opened up a whole new world of skin care and thanks to you I will hopefully no longer be (in your words...) "a sixty year old woman with a vintage wardrobe and a face like an alligator!" Lesson learnt!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! :)
Love the post on facial massage- it has changed my cleansing routine!
ReplyDeleteThe routines cheat sheet changed my skin forever! But all the other advice has also been brilliant. Thanks to you I will hopefully no longer be (in your words...) "a sixty year old woman with a vintage wardrobe and a face like an alligator!" Lesson learn! Thank you and happy birthday :)
ReplyDeleteHappy blog birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI love your cheat sheets, they've completely changed my skin. Overall I love your no-nonsense advice.
This would be an amazing gift to win! Would love to see what products you would suggest for my skin x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Happy 4th birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteYay Caroline! So happy you started this blog. It has CHANGED my life. Love you and your witty humor to bits. Fav post has to be the cheat sheat "Routines". Come back to it time and time again. xxxx love
ReplyDeleteHi, happy anniversary! I loved your cheat sheet for spots, my skin is constantly in a state of anger but your cheat sheet has really informed me about what I should and should not be doing for it!
ReplyDeleteLove the blog :)
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI have to say your blog doesn't half make me smile with your no nonsense and funny approach to beauty. Your moisturiser post recently made me chuckle so much (and think to myself "to frikken right"), I promptly read it aloud to my other half for his listening pleasure.
Hope you do something lovely to celebrate!
My favorite post is your cheat sheet for routines! june 4th, 2013...I'm sure most people that read this blog agree that this has helped so much with establishing a routine that WORKS and that is beneficial to our skin! Cleansing with a balm, and exfoliating with an acid toner has helped my skin so immensely! Love you Caroline!
ReplyDeleteWow, Happy Anniversary! Thank you for sharing all your wisdom, it's made such a difference to my skin and self-esteem in general and also for all the lovely giveaways and competitions. I would love to meet you in person, :) x
ReplyDeleteThe cheat sheet on routines! You put everything out there just the way it is, not packed in fancy ingredient names or latin like most people in the business tend to do. I've gained so much knowledge about skincare in here and you have made me realise that it is not something superficial, but more so a matter of health and how we feel in our bodies! That our insides are reflected on our outsides has encouraged me to live a healthy life. Post carolinehirons.com I have gained compliments from strangers on how my skin looks, and I am also the one that my friends come to for skincare questions! You're my secret weapon, skincare Oprah ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, Happy Anniversary! Thank you for sharing all your wisdom, it's made a huge difference to my skincare and self-esteem and for all the lovely giveaways and competitions. I would love to meet you - my favourite post is your Routines cheat sheet, :) x
ReplyDeletesudden breakouts cheat sheet
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4 years!! My favourite is probably the cheat sheet on acne - the bane of my life...
ReplyDeleteRoutine cheat sheet was the most informative and revolutionary post on this blog and any other. Transformed my life.
ReplyDeleteI always go straight to your cheat sheet on spots whenever I have a breakout. It definitely prevents me from giving in and popping a tempting spot / messing about with them. You're like a bossy mother (in a good way!) so I always listen to your advice!
ReplyDeleteAmazing giveaway - happy birthday! I would say that the cheat sheets helped me a lot, so my favourite would be the cleansing cheat sheet. I also like the products recommendations (although I don't agree with all of them - Indeed Laboratoires' products definitely don't work for me), please keep it up writing those - it is always great to discover new brands in every proce category. Thanks Caroline, you are a star! Please keep up writing the blog and start a YouTube channel as well (I'm very demanding today).
ReplyDeleteI love all the cheatsheets - they are amazing :) Especially the acne ones and your skincare routine. I have found them so helpful, particularly when I suffered from severe acne. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe cleansing routine sheet changed my life! No exaggeration! It really taught me how to look after my skin which I hope proves that your blog entries are worth sharing. Without a doubt that is my favourite post from the last 4 years.
ReplyDeleteAmi

My favorites have been the clinics and the oil cleansing. Completely changed my skin when I start using oils on my oily face.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post has got to be the routine cheat sheet
ReplyDeleteRoutine cheat sheet
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for these 4 years! Favourite posts? The cheat sheets (standard answer huh?) and the (very straightforward) product reviews. Thank you so much for creating THIS blog and for making the average consumer understand skin a bit better :) here's to many more years! Lara x
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post is definitely the cheat sheet on routines. It has changed my life quite frankly! @fizzyvimto
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a comp worth entering! Fav post? Anti ageing cheat sheet. So good to know the FACTS! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post has definitely been the acne cheat sheet, although I have found the posts on fish oils invaluable too!
ReplyDeleteThe beauty myth no.6! I was doing exact this with my forehead.. Using mattifying creams, because I thought I have oily skin. You helped me a lot! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteFavourite has to be the Cleansing Routine Cheat Sheet.. Still makes me laugh every time I read it :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 4 years, I only wish I'd found you and your expertise so much earlier! My skin has always been awful ever since I hit puberty and discovered I had PCOS. Due to this I had made many assumptions on how to care for my 'acne' prone oily skin. My skin has seen the best turnabout within the last 3months thanks to your advice. However your recent post 'Beauty Myth 6' about real acne sufferers and that most of us have sensitive/normal/dry/blemish prone skin was a revelation and has cinched my skins recent improvement. I am now using better products although I am still learning and there is still much to improve on (morning routine, I'm talking about you)!
ReplyDeleteHas to be the Cleansing Routine Cheat Sheet.. Still makes me laugh every time I read it :) :) Thank you Caroline!!
ReplyDeleteRoutines - Cheat Sheet :)
ReplyDeleteRoutines - Cheat Sheet
ReplyDeleteit's a tie between the cleansing routine and the facial massage cheat sheet. I have both hanging on my bathroom door.
ReplyDeletehappy anniversary and thanks for the great giveaway!
Tricky to choose one -but your cheat sheets -routines, spots and facial massage are what I keep coming back to. Thanks for all your skin wisdom -Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline! Happy Birthday to your blog! Please keep up the great work, we all appreciate it very much! I love your blogs and can't wait until the next one is available! I love your cheat sheets the most because they are easily available and I can read up on them, I love the one about cleansing and so far I have learnt a lot from you! Thank you for your hard work and sharing your knowledge with us!
ReplyDeleteLove your witty writing style! Every post is eye-opening, but my favourite has got to be your routines cheat sheet! So awesome how you break down the myriad of steps and explain them one by one. Love love love! Oh, and btw, I've become a LG customer thanks to you :P
ReplyDeleteDidn't want to say what everybody else's saying, but for me the best thing that I've ever read here has to be the Routines Cheat Sheet. It changed my life skincare-wise so much that I don't even know how could I ever go back to what I was doing to my face. There's still much to do for me, it's a constant learning process, but reading your blog daily (I have a lot to catch up on) makes it all easier every day :)
ReplyDeleteGlad that I discovered your blog and I hope you'll never stop writing :)
Cheers!
Congratulations on 4 years! Slightly cheating, but it has to be practically all your cheat sheets, never have I learnt so much from one blogger, of invaluable and necessary information plus passed the message on to a few friends to help them out as well!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Caroline well deserved you work your ass off :) Also a big Thank you. It would be a dream to just meet you let alone have a one to one with you. The cheat sheets are the first advice i started following so they are my fave. BTW i live near your office so it is more convenient you chose me hehhe. lots of love Iman/Faith xoxo
ReplyDeleteI can't really choose the one! All of them contributed to my skin health vision. But if I had to choose, that would be Toner. Now I can't live without toners and I truly am gratful to you for telling me the truth about these wonderful bottles))
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the Routines - Cheat Sheet, its my bible!
ReplyDeleteHow can I choose?!? I found the dry or dehydrated past particularly useful.
ReplyDeleteHi! Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post is this one: http://www.carolinehirons.com/2014/03/beauty-myth-no6-having-spots-means-you.html
Because I always treated my skin as a skin with acne, but then I realized that is not actually true. I might just need a treatment for dark spots to have a more even skin, and that's all, I don't need to rip it off with acids for acne.
And that also helped me to feel a bit better with my own skin...
Thanks for the all the posts! They are always very useful!
Cheers!
Camila
Happy Blog Birthday! I hope there's cake! Too many great posts to pick a favourite, but the one I keep going back to is the spots cheat sheet when i need encouragement to back the hell off!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Birthday! I hope there's cake! Too many great posts to pick a favourite, but the one I keep going back to is the spots cheat sheet when i need encouragement to back the hell off!
ReplyDeleteMy skin has already improved so much since reading your blog, thanks for all of your hard work :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely 100% the acne cheat sheet for me. After being rather luckily spot free as a teenager, I suddenly started to suffer from acne aged 21. It completely ruined my confidence and my self-esteem completely fell apart. This cheat sheet made me realise that I had to start treating my skin with a lot of TLC and patience, feed it good stuff like fish oils and health foods and hydrating products, rather than stripping it down with foamy crap and alcohol. Slowly my skin has improved, and while I still do get the odd breakout, generally my skin is completely changed. And when it does throw a hissy fit I have the Sudden Breakouts cheat sheet to help me through!
Thank you thank you thank you :)
Must be: Routines - Cheat Sheet posted 4th June 2013! It's even saved in my favourites as a motivation and a reminder to wash my face and the make off properly!! ‘You only have one face’ Caroline Hirons says…
ReplyDeleteCongratulations 4 years!!! Im constantly stalking your twitter and Instagram for the latest skin care drug when I should be studying for my exams but I'm hooked!!! Thank you for helping me gain my confidence back xxx

ReplyDeletevirtual drink on me for another 4 years !
I'm with the majority and it's the Routine Cheats Sheet for me too!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post is about cleansing and winter care. From those two post a realized, what mistakes I have done and how badly my skin reacted from that. Thanks to this posts Now I know what is good for my skin, how treat her properly. I invested money for good product recommended from Caroline and now my skin is paying me back, with natural, healhy, glowing looking skin!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 4 years!! I know everyone is saying the same with the cheat sheets but its honestly one of my favourite reads and I find myself constantly going back reminding me off certain things. Ive learnt so much that I've been able to pass your recommendations on to friends who are truly grateful. So Thank you Caroline for helping us all!
ReplyDeleteI find myself constantly stalking your Twitter and Instagram for the latest skin care drug and i can defo say I'm not looking to get unhooked!
so virtual drinks on me ! Heres to another 4 years !
My absolute favourite was the facial massage! Phewoar, felt like a facial ninja after following the steps!
ReplyDeleteOMG - As bizarre as it sounds this would be a dream come true! How do I put it - I am a stalker (as you've probs guessed with how many tweets I bombard you with!).
ReplyDeleteI can't pick one post - that would be wrong on so many levels. I have actually printed out your cheat sheets and filed them. I read them once a week to remind of the goods, the bads and the evils.
Your posts on cleansing balms/double cleansing/cleansing properly have changed my skin.
I thank you! Again & again. Hope to win!! :)

Hello, Caroline, congrats on the anniversary and thank you very much for informing us on everything skincare through your blog which you do brilliantly! I love any posts about acne, breakouts etc which is my main skin concern but especially love the cheat sheet about spots, I finally obtained the right information about this topic, thank you!
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy the spring,
Hana
I love reading your blog Caroline, you've helped my skin so much! I think my favourite posts would have to be your cheat sheets, particularly the ones on acne and routines xx
ReplyDeleteBeauty Mouth turns 4! Cheers to another year of skincare god sends and wishing I could get my hands on Hydraluron.
ReplyDeletexo Lillian from Parisian To Be
Definitly a tie between the routines and acne cheat sheet - it's made me see skin care in a completely different light! Im still not yet there with my skin but i've definitely seen a major improvement from when i started reading your blog! Thanks Caroline this blog has seriously been a Godsend! :)
ReplyDeletecongratulation caroline! you are amazing
ReplyDeletemy fav one is the routine cheat sheet
all the best xoxo
Dear Caroline,
ReplyDeleteI'm having a really hard time picking just one because reading your blog has been a wonderously purse emptying but edifying experience, but if I have to pick one, it would be your post on Facial Massage for Cleansing/Post-Cleansing.
Thank you for helping me prevent my face from falling off.
Yours in gratitude,
Rachel
Happy Blog Birthday! I hope there's cake? Too many great posts to pick a favourite, but the one that I go back to again and again is the spots cheat sheet when I need encouragement to back the hell off!! Great prize by the way, thanks Caroline.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My favourite post is the milia information since it was looking for help with milia that brought your blog to my attention and I've been reading ever since. It was also a very helpful post.
ReplyDeleteI ADORE YOU !!!!! My favourite post has to be hands down the acne cheat sheet they changed my life :) xx you dont realise how much you matter Caroline !
ReplyDeleteYour posts have changed my life or well my skin. Your acne cheat sheet and general posts have influenced my skincare purchasing and my skin is looking better and better each day.
ReplyDeleteThanks
xx
I do not really have one signle favourite blogpost of yours, but the cheat sheets have been incredibly helpful, especially the cleansing one!
ReplyDeleteI never mentioned a post... eek!- The body shop face tool thingy!!! love that gadget!!!
ReplyDeleteYour review on The Body Shop's chamomile oil cleanser series was one of the happiest days of my life. A cheap cleansing oil that I could get in the US? Godsent. And with the Hirons approval stamp on it? A girl can't complain.
ReplyDeleteHard to choose but I would say the toner cheat sheet, changed the way I look at toners!
ReplyDeleteI've liked all your posts - but particularly the cheat sheets. I've had really bad skin for the past few years and I started using your suggestions with regards to cleansing balms, no SLS, etc and my skin improved a little bit. But I was still not satisfied so I started working with a nutritionist and a doctor and it turns out I am intolerant of gluten. Took me 5 months of elimination diet alternating with provocation diet to figure it out. But it is so worth it. I now have very few pimples as long as I stay away from gluten and sugar. My skin is slowly healing and scars are fading. Facial oils are a blessing. Couldn't have done it without inspiration from you :)
ReplyDeleteIt has to be the cheat sheets as they are my most used. They have helped my skin no end! Would seriously love to win this.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post is the Facial Massage for Cleansing/Post-Cleansing - Cheat Sheet. Its so helpful with easy to follow images and instructions. I've even got my mum, sister and husband doing it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 4 years, not a day goes by that I don't check in on your blog.
Really enjoying the beauty myth series! Thank you for sharing all of your great info! x
ReplyDeletePixi Glo Tonic - helped my skin get rid of dry patches (used to have terrible skin, went on roaccutane) and worked wonders without feeling too harsh/"chemically". Wouldn't have come across it without the blog so thankyou Caroline! X
ReplyDeleteI love all your cheat sheets. But the one that's helped me the most is probably the Sudden Breakouts, especially the 3 day Salmon diet!
ReplyDeleteI love all your cheat sheets. But the one that's probably helped most is the Sudden Breakouts, especially the part about the 3 day diet!
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a consultation with you...and to be honest my face NEEDS it!
You've been an absolute godsend - I had no clue about getting into a proper routine and what to avoid until I discovered your blog. I regularly check back at your cheat sheets - especially the acne one each time I get a monthly break out as a reminder and a nudge up the back side. I've also improved my diet and been religious about suplementing thanks to you. Thanks for helping all of us!
Sarah
Oh Caroline, congrats!! I am only 14 years old but your blog has me obsessed with skincare! I have learned so much and both my skin and I will thank you in 40 years! My favourite blog post of yours would have to be your routines cheat sheet because it helped be understand the basics. I went from using foaming cleansers and apricot kernels to basically every product you recommend! The only thing I am missing is toners. I am having a heck of a time finding a good everyday exfoliating toner that is available in Canada! I have the Clarins exfoliating toner, is that suitable for once a day use? Any help from anyone would be appreciated! Thank you Caroline! I am loving these everyday posts! You rock :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday (to your blog) and keep on doing what you're doing. Without you I'm sure we all would have bought lots of rubbish skincare products and would all be using face wipes to take off our makeup... I'm even more excited to soon watch your videos! My favourite post (so far) is the Cleansing and the Beauty Routine cheat sheets - the most important step in my opinion and I always find myself sending the links to my friends! <3
ReplyDeleteMy favourite? It has to be the one that made the most difference for me - the acne cheat sheet. After many re-reads of all of your blog, it's finally dawning on me that no matter how good my routine, no matter how well suited my products, if I don't take care of the INside, the OUTside isn't going to look good. My magic fix won't come from skincare. The acne cheat sheet explains that, and what to avoid, in terms which are scientific enough that I'm converted, and firm enough that I can't ignore them (any more). Thank you.
ReplyDeletehello! congrats and thank you for the giveaway. I do love all the cheat sheet but my favorite is Routine.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
Meryam
The cheat sheet on sudden breakouts has been an absolute game changer for me! No longer do I run around like a headless chicken, throwing everything at my face and hoping something will work. Thank you and of course HAPPY BIRTHDAY - here's to many more!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite was the one about cleansing. Before then I'd been super lazy, buying all sorts of expensive moisturisers and treatments but seeing no effect and get frustrated with my blocked pores and breakouts. Your straight forward no nonsense approach made me sit up and sort myself out and now I couldn't be happier with my skin! I've sent links to all my friends, its shocking how many people just don't know how important a good cleanse and buff is! Thanks Caroline x
ReplyDeleteDry or dehydrated changed my life. And the whole thing about foaming cleansers and apricot scrubs. Love it!
ReplyDeleteFirst off all; I love your blog! I think my favourite blog posts must be your cheat sheets, especially routines and cleansing. For someone who knew very little about skincare I've learned a lot after I discovered your blog. I also come to your blog to find new products to try because I know they will be good if they got the Caroline Hirons stamp of approval :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday <3 I have many *many* *MANY* faves, but acne cheat sheet is the one I printed out, so I could stroke it ;) I also use your hot links >>> to check supplements etc.

What? Chose a favourite? It's like choosing your favourite child, or I presume so I don't have any.
ReplyDeleteNever mind, I think the one that had the most impact would be the cheat sheet on cleaning.
Congrats and long may it continue. You're a legend!! I always return to the Routines Cheat Sheet, so will go with that :)
ReplyDeleteI love the instagram catch ups as they give a nice insight into your daily life. I also hate them as they generally result in some credit card bashing...
ReplyDeleteMy favourite post would definitely be the routines cheat sheet! Really helped me when I started getting into skincare
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I think it's the "Spots Cheat Sheet" for me. It helped me understand my temperamental skin better. Acid toner and cleansing properly in the mornings has really helped fight breakouts. Thank you!

Ooh its a tough choice, I'd have to say the Top Tips for Great Skin Cheat Sheet! One handy page with all your best tips!
ReplyDeleteLucy x
It has to be routines cheat sheet because 1; using flannels had been my guilty secret for many years - now I'm out and proud! 2. I've spent the last 10 years baffled by all the new products on the market and now I actually know how to use them and 3. You've eased my guilt about spending money on it all because my skin is more important than another pair of shoes . Thank you, Caroline.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bday! My favourite post would have to be the Routines Cheat Sheet- nobody else has explained it nearly as well! ER xx
ReplyDeletedry/dehydrated and recommendation for REN Omega 3 night repair serum.....love the stuff and its on my repurchase list which is rare!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Top Tips for Great Skin - it's you in a nutshell that one!
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline,
ReplyDeletemy favorite post is/was "Cleansing". You completely changed my way of thinking about how cleansing should look like. I used you treat my skin with the harshest products available, stripping it from everything, and in a lot of cases leaving it without any moisture (yes, I did not even use any moisturizer).
You have no idea how significantly you impacted my life!
Thank you!
How to choose? I think if I HAD to choose, your beauty myths would be my favorite. Thanks for everything you do.
ReplyDeletexx
It would be hard to pick just one! I love all your Beauty Myth posts. The one on acne versus blemishes was particularly helpful!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favourite is the 'Clarins Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate - Review' as I went straight out and bought this product, and haven't looked back. It's great when my skin is angry, irritated, and just needs a little extra help. Thanks Caroline!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the routines which I follow faithfully!
ReplyDeleteYour cheat sheets for routines. I suffer from dehydration due to just not drinking enough and after a thorough dig around the blog changing my skincare bit by bit I feel so much more confident. Plus I use much less makeup.
ReplyDeleteGosh, what a fantastic prize!! Since reading your blog, I have learned to treat my skin better and it has greatly improved! I don't know if I could narrow down to *one* favorite post but I absolutely love your reviews on individual products. They're so informative and helpful and I just love reading your blog and advice!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
Hi Caroline, your whole site has become my skincare bible but the Routines- Cheat Sheet is my all-time favourite post, it really de-mystifies the plethora of products out there and the skincare industry in general in a no BS, hilarious way! I've developed a great regime based on your recommended products and am horrified to think that my 'routine' once consisted of make-up wipes *shudders* Here's to another 4 great years!
ReplyDeleteYour cleansing cheat sheet has changed the way I cleaned my face. No more sudsy badsie!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary/birthday! I've discovered your blog only recently & immediately purchased the BR 1970 original formula. so far, it's love. xo L
ReplyDeleteI love your sudden breakout cheat sheet (suffering from one right now...)! As an oily-skinned girl who's always been told to avoid any kind of topical oils like the plague, your blog in general has been a real eye opener, and I've been balm cleansing for the past few months.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog at a time I was going through a major hormonal/stress induced breakout (>1 month long) and I must say your cheatsheets and rave reviews on Alpha H liquid gold saved my face! I now come to you before buying anything. I also very much appreciate the science you put behind your reviews/recommendations. Happy Blog Birthday, hopeful many more years to come :)
ReplyDeleteIt was the cheat sheets that got me hooked into reading your blog regularly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caroline for taking your time to educate us all!
