So a couple of days ago I posted this picture...
which had a few commenters excited:

Doesn't the La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel have mineral oil in its composition?
ReplyDelete
Firstly, I can't tell you how weird it is to have people call you 'she' on your own site - as if you aren't there - LOL - anyway: I contacted LRP and said: People, I am holding this in my hand and it does NOT have mineral oil listed. HELP. ME.'
LRP Press Office confirmed this afternoon that their website is indeed incorrect, hasn't been updated in a long time and has now been fixed.
The Physiological Cleansing Gel does NOT contain mineral oil, the website WAS wrong, and as an aside: I am not in the habit of telling porkies. Just sayin'.
And some good news!
After I posted this picture...
Let's all agree to take that as a 'Yes, we're bringing it back!'
*thumbs up all round*

hi caroline, can you please review the tracie martyn amla cleanser? Will it be ok to use alongside p 50 or good genes?
ReplyDeleteYes. It's due to be blogged. I love it.
DeleteThanks for clearing that up, I love La Roche-Posay products but this gave me pause. Great to hear.

Ahahahahaha Caroline, Bravura London do a 10% Glycolic treatment at a PH of 3, is this ok for daily use (or twice daily use)? (For a 17 year old with combination skin (oily T zone, normal rest of face), who rarely ever has breakouts and has no skin conditions) (current exfoliants I use are Retin A (0.05% for the past year) (got it in Mexico) and 2% Salicylic Pads, AHA toners and night treatments, and AHA and enzyme masks)
ReplyDeleteGreat news! I use this cleansing gel so I'm pleased theres not a surprise secret ingredient!

Ah yes calling you she in your own blog was a bit weird. Sincere apologies! No offence meant
ReplyDeleteNone taken. ;)
DeleteI find this depends on the country. In the UK it is inconceivable to call somebody he/she when they're present. In the US it happens on a normal basis. The latter took me a couple of years to get used to, I might add. ;)
DeleteAgnes, I'm from the US and it's considered rude to say "she" in the presence of that person. ;) I guess it depends on the type of people you're around who find it acceptable.
DeleteI can't believe that some people are so rude! This is your blog and I love the advice you give, they are obviously anonymous for a reason ;0) xx (sorry if this posted twice)
ReplyDeleteAgree totally with last comment. So rude!
ReplyDeleteAgree with last comment. So rude!
ReplyDeleteWow. Anonymous, you pedant.. Don't spend your time trying to mug people off over shit all. It's embarrassing for you. Love your blog Caroline!
ReplyDeleteThis cleanser or EH balm? Always having break outs help :( can't seem to find one that keeps them at bay!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Clinique's Take the Day Off balm? I broke out with EH, but find it's not the case with TTDOF. I think it was due to the essential oils it contains.
DeleteI haven't I shall try that one! Usually avoid Clinique but I'll give it ago! Also is there a moisturiser you'd recommend? I'm currently using loccitanes Shea butter 8% and there brightening toner containing witch hazel.
DeleteMany thanks! :D
This made me laugh! My mum says that ALL the time too haha.
ReplyDeleteKudos for double checking that. I probably would have just told the commenter to bugger off. I have this vision of the phone ringing at LRP (or anywhere) and someone going, "Lord, it's The Hirons ringing again, fetch me the product manuals, an old priest and a young priest and for the love of all that is holy, don't dawdle!"
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha. That literally made me chuckle. Thank you! ;)
DeleteHas the LRP IT manager/responsible person been fired yet? LOL...
DeleteLove LRP, actually. They do have some amazing products!
Hi Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI am currently in the Land of Free Gift With Purchase, the good old USA, from Norway. I love Sephora and want to take the opportunity to shop while I am here! What i am using now is Dermalogica Precleanse, Special Cleansing Gel, Multi Active Toner and Active Moist and Intensive Moisture Balance. I am also using Nicatil creme from Cosmoceuticals. What to trade? RThe cleanser is foaming so any suggestions? I have a plan to get the Pixi Toner as soon as Target has it back in stock. If you have the time for a suggestion, I would be very grateful. Hope you have a great weekend with your family.
Hi ceciliek -- unfortunately Glow Tonic is not currently stocked in Target stores. But you can always find it on our website, and we do offer international shipping - www.pixibeauty.co.uk
DeleteWhile you're stateside, I do recommend checking out our full makeup line at Target -- including our Flawless Beauty Primer, which Caroline has blogged about recently. Happy shopping!
My mum always says that too!
ReplyDeletesounds a bit like Gillian is back for round 2! I trust you Caroline, even if "she" doesnt!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Caroline and readers!
ReplyDeleteCan you please help me with this: I just received the Indeed lab Pepta-bright serum and tore up the package and tried it on my hand and... It smells really weird. Is it supposed to that? Bravely enough I tried it last night and again this morning and I still have my face in one piece (and I can´t go back, because it was my hubby who bought it in UK and we live in Sweden). Just wondering if it´s something wrong with it or can I go along and wait for the wonders to happen? / Annakarin
Mine always smells terrible too! But I find the smell doesn't linger once it's on your skin, just hold your breath while you rub it in!
DeleteThanks! I agree, it doesn't linger but it gets you wonder.
DeleteAs a non native speaker, I don't understand why it's rude to call someone "she". Could you please explain?
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you have ever tried any Korean products. I find that if I need to restock on something and have a bit of a budget to stick to, Korean products are always the best value for money as they are highly effective and not expensive. Plus it helps that they give out sooo many free sample (generous ones) with every purchase, I once survived a whole 10 day holiday on just samples but still managed to do a multi-tier asian routine!
Is this an article by you Caroline? This person it using your pics and a format awfully like yours. =S Unless this is you interviewing with The Zoe Report. Link to the article: https://www.yahoo.com/style/10-step-korean-skincare-routine-for-the-lazy-girl-110643449625.html
ReplyDeleteYes those are my hands! Thank you. xx
